Solemnity of St. Vincent Pallotti, January 22nd

St. Vincent Pallotti by Sr. Julitta Gołębiowska SAC

God always and in everything, God.

St. Vincent Pallotti

Dear Sisters and Brothers of the spirit of St. Vincent Pallotti,

May grace and thanksgiving accompany us as we celebrate today the feast of St. Vincent Pallotti. Being united with all of you on this Founder's day, we present to God each of you and all that you hold in your heart: your joys, concerns and sorrows.  May the example of St. Vincent Pallotti's life, his undivided love for Christ and the Blessed Mother, as well as his inexhaustible zeal for every person who was in need, be our inspiration and our strength for our daily life and our mission in the Church.

New Year 2019 - General Superior's Greetings

Rome, 1 January 2019

Once again, we meet on the edge of time: the old year goes away and a new one comes. Not everything in our lives happens at once, at the same time, immediately. We need a rhythm of events. Every year gives us this rhythm, which makes order in our life, purifies us and allows us to touch real life.

Letter of the Superior General for Christmas 2018

'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Mt 16:16

We believe and confess that Jesus of Nazareth, born a Jew of a daughter of Israel at Bethlehem at the time of King Herod the Great and the emperor Caesar Augustus, a carpenter by trade, who died crucified in Jerusalem under the procurator Pontius Pilate during the reign of the emperor Tiberius,

Is the eternal Son of God made man.

He 'came from God', (Jn13:3) descended from heaven', (Jn 3:13, 6:33), and 'came in the flesh'.  (1 Jn 4:2). For 'the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. . . and from his fullness have we all received, grace upon grace.' (Jn 1:14,16). Moved by the grace of the Holy Spirit and drawn by the Father, we believe in Jesus and confess:

'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Mt 16:16

(Catechism of the Catholic Church,  423-424)

Advent 2018 - Letter from the Superior General

That our joy be full ...
   1 John 1:4

Dear Sisters,

The time has come when God once again wants to immerse us in the grace of Advent. Our first call is to ask for the grace of experiencing this time according to His will. Let this year's Advent allow us to look with joy into our hearts and enlighten them with longing for an encounter with Christ.

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
