I believe

Rome, Easter 2021

 Dear Sisters,

In his Easter message, the Risen Lord greets us with the words Peace be with you! Christ on the Cross - the paschal Lamb - brings to a tired world the gift of new life: redemption! Peace and joy are the fruit of the paschal journey of Christ, who "himself, in his body, bore our sins on the tree of the Cross" (1 Peter 2:24).

My dear Sisters, my wish this year is that the Celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord will fill our hearts with the light of Christ, symbolized by the paschal candle as a sign of life and directs our eyes to Christ, who conquered death. Let us draw anew from the paschal source, of the waters of Holy Baptism which, in the midst of the desert of this time, makes it possible to build an oasis of life and calls us in our difficult today to confess with conviction:  I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ His Son and our Lord! I believe in the Holy Spirit! I believe in the holy Catholic Church, in the forgiveness of sins, in the resurrection of the dead and in everlasting life!

In the solemn song of the Easter liturgy, in the joy of the redeemed, let us sing the hymn of hope, sealed by His death and Resurrection: Alleluia!  Let us be close to the source of life!

Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

With the gift of prayer and unity,

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
