Since 2011

On the 6th of January 2022, the Solemnity of Epiphany, the Sisters of the Generalate and Procura had the joy of participating in the Eucharist with the Holy Father in St. Peter´s Basilica and also received the blessing at the Angelus Prayer. Pope Francis underlined that the magi set out to search for Jesus, moved by a big desire. How important it is for us, to live with a deep desire! To “look at the star and walk!” To show His light to our brothers and sisters.

Continuing a long-year tradition, Fr. Jarek Rachowiak SDB joined us in the evening, and blessed the e Generalate House and the Procura.  We signed our doors with the letters C+M+B 2022 – Christus Mansionem   Benedicat - Christ bless our home! In this year, we pray especially for the blessing upon the new Community in the Generalate, the Sisters recently elected who will form a family for the next 6 years, and also for the community in the Procura and all the guests that will be with us in the New Year 2022.

Together with Fr. Jarek and our Sisters from Rome/Moncenisio we sang and prayed the Vespers and gave our homage to the Bambino Gesù which was enthroned on the altar.

After enjoying together a festive evening meal we concluded the celebration singing Christmas carols in our different languages, remembering all our Sisters in the corresponding provinces.

May our lives be more and more a manifestation of God´s light, love and mercy!

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
