Since 2011

On February 11, 2017, the memory of the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, in the shadow of the Mother of the Word in Rwanda/ Kibeho, we began the Third Regional Chapter of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters of the Region  "Our Lady of Kibeho".

The theme of the Chapter is taken from the Gospel according to St. John "Remain in my love" (Jn 15: 9). Sr. Izabela Świerad, SAC, the Superior  General, solemnly opened the Chapter on Saturday evening and assumed the  presidency. There are 16 Chapter members together with Superior General, Sr. Anna Małdrzykowska, General Councilor and 14 Delegates from the Region.

On Sunday 12/02/2017, we had a recollection day led by Father Eugene Niyonzima, Provincial of the Holy Family Province of the Pallottine Fathers, who is participating in the Chapter as an observer. On Monday, there were the presentations of the reports of the Region : those of the different communities and of the formation commission.

The Chapter is enriched by the presence of the Virgin Mary, the beautiful landscape of Rwanda, the community prayer and a good fraternal atmosphere.

Let us pray for the Sisters of the Region "Our Lady of Kibeho",   that they may remain in the love of Jesus and be apostles of his mercy.

On this Friday, the Sisters will elect the Regional Superior and her council.

With our warm greetings from the heart of Africa,

Sr. Anna Maldrzykowska, SAC

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
