▪ The Sisters of the Mother of Divine Love Province will celebrate in 2011 the Silver Jubilee of their foundation in India. The opening ceremony on December 12th was in Goa at Deva Matha Convent, the first community in India. The theme for the year is “All for the Infinite Glory of God”. In an inspiring prayer service, Sr. J.X. Clara, Provincial, performed an Arati, symbolizing the Sisters’ gratitude to God, and also offered the Mother of Divine Love Province to God’s mighty Hand.  At the entrance procession all the Sisters carried a small green fern, highlighting the theme of the first Provincial Chapter “To be Witnesses of Hope”. The main celebrant was Rev. Fr. Oswald D’Souza, Vice-Provincial of Assumption Province.  During the offertory each superior offered a special symbol, sign for her community and its apostolate. After communion, Sr. J.X. Clara handed to each superior a Jubilee Lamp, saying: Love the Sisters in your community…let this lamp keep burning day and night during the whole Jubilee Year.  The celebration concluded with the hymn: All for the Infinite Glory of God composed by Sr. Inacinha for this day and sung by a choir of the Sisters.  Guests were the Pallottine Fathers from Casa Pallotti and Ms. Chrispina, member of the Kristsevikas.

▪ On the Feast of Mary Immaculate, December 8th, Sr. Veena Crasta pronounced her Final Vows. The Eucharistic celebration took place in Our Lady of Mercy Church in Manjeshwar. The Holy Mass was presided by Fr. Prabhu, S.J and six other Fathers concelebrated.  Among them was Fr. James Joseph, SAC, Director of the Pallottine Animation Center, Nagpur.  In his homily Fr. Prabhu encouraged all religious present to live religious life as a treasure, more valuable than any earthly treasure.

▪ Immaculate Conception, Patron Day of the Senior Citizen Home was celebrated with much joy and gratitude. Auxiliary Bishop Agnela Gracias of Mumbai was the main celebrant of the solemn Mass with Fr. Thomas, SAC, Parish Priest, and two other priests as concelebrants. About 100 people including the neighboring religious, collaborators, Senior Citizens and their relatives joined to thank and praise the Lord. Afterwards all shared an Agape banquet. In the evening the Sisters and staff gave an entertainment program for the senior citizens.

▪ A 2-day Seminar for the formators was held at Pillar, Goa, in mid-December. The speaker was Rev. Fr. Ralph Besterwitch, SAC. The goal was to appreciate the apostolate of formation, to enable the participants to empower the young women, to help them deepen their roots in Jesus and enjoy the mission.
