▪ Vicar General Sr. Maria Landsberger, accompanied by Sr. Ingrid Maria Schuler, from Bensberg, Germany visited the Sisters in Brazil from early December through Christmas. During this time the Silver Jubilee of Profession of the first three Brazilian Sisters, Srs. Silvia de Almeida, Marylande Rodigues Lopes and Maria Avani Souza da Silva was celebrated together with the Pallottine Family and parish members in the Parish church of Timbiras, a small town in the Northeast State of Maranhão. The two visiting sisters directed a day of recollection for the jubilarians before the notable event. On the evening of Saturday, 10th December, Sr. Ingrid, representing the Provincial Superior of Germany, Sr. Helga Weidemann, and Sr. Maria witnessed these sisters as they respectfully, with lighted candles in their hands, renewed their vows, during the Holy Mass.  Parish priest Fr. Raimundo welcomed the four Pallottine Fathers present and the assembly. Bishop Vicar Fr. Jak Wasensteiner SAC presided the celebration; his brother Fr. Sepp Wasensteiner SAC gave the homily. Sr. Ingrid and Sr. Maria congratulated the Jubilarians on behalf of the superiors in Limburg and Rome and greeted the festive assembly. In one of the schools of Timbiras a greeting address of Bishop Sebastião was read and the joyful day ended with many good wishes, songs, dances, and the obligatory cake.

Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
