“Sow for yourselves justice,

reap the fruit of piety;

break up for yourselves a new field,

for it is time to seek the LORD,

till he come and rain down justice upon you.”

Hosea 10:12

With much gratitude to the Triune God, the working of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of St. Vincent Pallotti and Mary, Queen of Apostles, we announce the election of Sr. Izabela Swierad, Superior General of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters.

In her opening address to the XX General Chapter, Sr. Izabela spoke to the Congregation: "It is time for us to look forward and not backwards; to let go of whatever is holding us back, to seek what gives us joy, life, happiness and fulfillment of Christ’s mission.  We need to join our forces and resources so that we can work together.  In this world today, we need to reform our mentality, understanding and relationship with God and others.

In the spiritual life we must give ourselves to Christ without any condition and entrust all to Him.  This will liberate us from a growing individualism/egoism and lead us to live our life more radically as true disciples and missionaries in communion with Christ and with each other. I wish and pray that the grace of this mystery of Encounter with Jesus will enlighten us, comfort us and help us to go forth in our journey now and always".

Together with Sr. Izabela, we plan to go forward to Awake!  To encounter Christ!  To be a witness of joy in the world.

We ask St. Vincent Pallotti and Mary, Queen of the Apostles to intercede for us so that the workings of the Holy Spirit, through our Superior General, Sr. Izabela Swierad, will bring forth fruit and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ resurrected throughout the world.

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
