The last day of the General Chapter
More Photos from the closing day: GenChapter2016_ClosingDay_A
We started this day with the Laudes. In the morning we had a working session in which we continued our work on the recommendations. We also edited the General Chapter's message.
On July 7th our guest was Fr. Nicola Galucci SAC – Provincial Superior of the Italian Province of the Pallotine Fathers and Brothers. During the homily he reminded us of God's endless love. God loves us unconditionally, His love is full of mercy, and always ready to forgive. The Lord is present in the history of each man and each day we need to seek Him anew.

A pilgrimage to San Giorgio and Cascia
This Sunday we traveled to a picturesque place of origin of St. Vincent Pallotti's family. San Giorgio is a tiny village, beautifully located in the mountains of Umbria. The Pallotti family still lives there today.

This Sunday afternoon was for us a festival of cultures: colorful national and regional clothes, tastes, songs and dances coming from all these parts of the world, in which we live.
Awake!
Encounter Christ.
Be witness of joy!

“Sow for yourselves justice,
reap the fruit of piety;
break up for yourselves a new field,
for it is time to seek the LORD,
till he come and rain down justice upon you.”
Hosea 10:12
With much gratitude to the Triune God, the working of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of St. Vincent Pallotti and Mary, Queen of Apostles, we announce the election of Sr. Izabela Swierad, Superior General of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters.
Monday, July 4th
During our morning session our guest was Fr. Tadeusz Wojda, SAC from the Congregation for Evangelization of People. Charism, mission, apostolate and New Evangelization were the main topics of his speech.
Reflections on “Christ is our center.” – Consecrated Life and Formation - Report of Josephina D’Souza, SAC, 01 July, 2016.
Centering
The center is the living core of a thing:
From it radiates the source of the whole -
All those splinters of matter that make up
The universe of our daily lives, and gently touch
The hungry, the sorrowful, - anywhere there is need.
TODAY WE MUST REMEMBER WHO WE ARE BEFORE GOD!

Pallotti's perspective: to look at the UAC from the inside of the Church
This day was dedicated to the UAC. Many guests visited us today: Fr. Jakob Nampudakam, SAC, Rector General; s. Ivete Garlet, CSAC, Superior General; and Mrs. Cristina Mastrorosati, Vice-President of the UAC in Italy.
July, 1st
During our morning Eucharist Fr. Raul Gomez Ruiz, Salvatorian, said in the homily that the problem of the Pharizeehs was not the law but the fact that they paid so much attention to it. Jesus said: I want mercy, not an offering. The most important sign of love is mercy. The siners are in the center of Jesus”s community. He didn”t change who they were but sat with them at one table. This was something that was beyond the Law.
Our session before the noon was dedicated to the Commission reports:
Thursday, June 30th
„How many times during these first months of the Jubilee we’ve heard about the deeds of mercy! Today the Lord encourages us to make a serious examination of conscience. We should never forget that the mercy is not an abstract word, but a style of life. A person can either be merciful or unmerciful. It’s a lifestyle I choose. I decide to live as a merciful or an unmerciful man. It’s one thing to speak of mercy, but it’s another to live mercy“ – with these words Pope Francis began his catechesis during the general audience in St. Peter’s Square, in which we also took part.

It was an unforgetable experience and a great joy to gather around the Holy Father together with an enormous number of pilgrims from all around the world: young seminarians from Lebanon and Syria, many religious people, families and parishes‘ members. Openess, kindness, cordiality, enthusiasm of faith – are all a testimony that the Gospel is for everyone, and „mercy has eyes to see, and ears to hear, and hands to help stand up“. „Whoever doesn’t live to serve, doesn’t serve to live!“ – said the Pope.

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul
This could have been a day like any other day... – that could have been a title of another day of our General Chapter. But thanks to a richness of events and the people we have met it became unique.
Commemorizing St. Peter and St. Paul, we started with the Holy Mass celebrated by Father Jarosław Rochowiak, SDB. In the homily he mentioned the theme of our General Chapter: “Be a witness of joy to the world”. He also told us about St. John Bosco and stressed that joy does not only mean entertainment. Most of all it is a style and a way of life, which allows us to be close to the God during our daily activities.
Tuesday, June 28, 2016
We started today, traditionally, with the Holy Mass which, same as yesterday, was celebrated by Father Rocky. During the homily he reminded us that we need to trust Jesus totally. A storm on a sea is a test of our faith. This is a lesson for us to surrender to God completely. Jesus and the disciples on the boat present also an image of the Church. It may seem strange that during such a violent storm Jesus is sleeping. According to Saint Augustine, as Father Rocky said, it is our faith that is sleeping. To awake faith is to awake Jesus who is sleeping inside of us. Awake! -

This morning’s Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Rocky Gonsalves, SAC. His overall theme for today’s Gospel is to be men and women of freedom: Not freedom in the context of today’s world where freedom is to “free to be me.” The freedom that is of the Gospel is the freedom to mold one’s will to that of God and to become the person that God has created in the image and likeness of God.

Today, the invitation is to pray the grace of community—of sisterhood.
Pallottines would, in the same breath, say the grace of Cenacle. In the Chapel by the altar is the picture of the Cenacle. These Sisters want to be Cenacle. Pallotti wanted his Sisters to be Cenacle.
Today, we are invited to pray the grace of Cenacle. Here are a few suggestions to begin your prayer, reflection and sharing. The suggestion would be: let Jesus lead you into the Cenacle.

Chapters are a time for essentials and to consider what is most important and what is life giving.
Let us celebrate and rediscover what is vital for our family. Let us rediscover—discover anew—the grace that is our family.
Pallottine Missionary Sisters came into existence because of grace. We are a grace to many. This is a beautiful and demanding journey into grace—growing out of grace into grace.

Day 1 of XX General Chapter
Rome, Italy
More: Events Gallery (General Chapter 2016 Day 1A)
Under the blue skies of Rome, the members of the General Chapter went to our beloved St. Vincent’s shrine in SS. Salvator in Onda where Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, SAC presided at the Inaugural Eucharistic Celebration. We were joined by many priests and sisters of the Union of Catholic Apostolate. In Fr. Jacob’s homily, he reminded us that Jesus Christ is the center of our life and that “joy can only be experienced when one is rooted in a living, loving and merciful God.”

Time to Rise and Shine!!!!
It’s time to carve
Another day of history.
Sit back, enjoy good food
And friendly companionship,
Listening intently to what
Your neighbor dares to share.
The Holy Spirit speaks through
Fluid events unfolding, using
These special, precious people.
LISTEN. Then reflect prayerfully,
Allowing the Spirit to flow freely,
Creating color and exciting life events
In all that is uniquely Pallottine!!!
And don’t forget to smile!!!
/Good wish from one sisters to the capitularies/
God of Infinite Love and Mercy, You called us to follow your Son, Jesus Christ. He came to spread the fire of love over all the earth and desired that every human heart be aflame with that fire, so that everyone may know your infinite love. His teaching and actions were permeated by this desire which found its highpoint in the Mystery of the Cross. This same love inspired our Holy Founder who followed with tireless ardor in Jesus’ footsteps and wanted to be like him in everything he did. We, the spiritual daughters of St Vincent Pallotti, ask you to transform our hearts, enliven us with your Spirit and fill us with that same desire.
Unite us in love and renew our apostolic zeal so that we can carry out our Pallottine charism faithfully and creatively. Provide us the light of your Spirit in discerning your will to meet the challenges of the present time.
Give us courage and energy to fulfil your will. With renewed zeal and joy, may we meet the needs of our brothers and sisters and carry the Good News of Christ’s resurrection. Amen.
We are pleased to announce the coming of the XXth General Chapter of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate that will take place in the General House in Rome from June 22 to July 14, 2016. Inspired by the words of Pope Francis, we chose this theme: Awake! Encounter Christ and be a witness of joy in the world!
