Easter 2011

Dear Sisters,

Let us welcome this Easter with the joy of spring, and gratitude for a new life in the Risen Christ. "Resurrectio Domini, spes nostra – “the resurrection of the Lord is our hope".  We should have no doubts that Christ is risen and that He is alive among us and no more darkness, worry or fear shall occupy our hearts.  Let's awake!  May the experience of the Paschal Triduum change our life and encounter with the Beloved.  Let’s rekindle anew our love, which will open our heart that we may see a new earth and a new heaven, not an empty tomb, because “he is not here, for he has been raised from the dead” /Mt 28, 6/.

Dear Sisters, it is to give us hope that Christ is risen. Only in Him and with Him, can we look toward a better and happy future.  We can change the course of our Congregation towards a new vision and create a life, which in turn will generate new life. Therefore, let us immerse ourselves in this Paschal Mystery and be filled with its gifts. Let us allow the light that streams forth from the Easter Vigil enlighten us.

We by our unique invitation to consecrated life are called to manifest His Light. We do this by making the Light of Christ shine brightly in those nearest to us and throughout the world. Let us open ourselves in sincere trust to the Risen Christ, so that his victory over evil and death may triumph in each one of us. Then we may overcome all difficulties that harm our relations with God and people, and which take away a true willingness to serve our God and Lord.

United with you in this Easter Morning, I wish you dear Sisters, that you will experience the miracle of Easter and truly encounter the Risen Christ, who will touch your heart with love. May the Exsultet, the Easter hymn of praise, resound in your hearts and lives, and motivate you to become true apostles of peace, messengers of joy, witnesses of hope and bearers of Light. May Mary, Mother of the Risen Christ, accompany us as we discover anew these marvelous Easter gifts. Happy Easter wishes also from the Councilors!

In the Light of the Risen Christ,
