On 6 January in the community of the Generalate and Procura General, according to a long and beautiful tradition we celebrated Koleda – a time of common prayer, blessing of the house and blessing of the community. The house is the place, where we are at home.  During one of the catechesis (11.10.2017) Pope Francis said: "Jesus is as a house, and we are inside, and from the windows of this house we look at the world. For this reason we do not close in on ourselves, we do not long with melancholy for a supposedly golden past, but we look ever forward, to a future that is not only our handiwork, but that above all is a constant concern of the providence of God".

For many years we have shared the joy of Epiphany with those, with whom we are joined by bonds of brotherhood/fellowship and cordial friendship. Time was shared with our Sisters from Via Monceniso, with Pallottine and Salvatorian Fathers, lay members of the UAC and other invited guests. The main celebrant, speaker and "maestro della ceremonia"  was Fr. Jaroslaw Rochowiak, Salesian. Time of common prayer, joy of sharing at one table and singing Christmas carols in different languages, as well as reading the service at the crib of Jesus, which each one had chosen, we can say, Lord, it is so good to be here.

In gratitude to God for our earthly home, let us not forget our vocation as we look to eternity, to be in the house of God, made not by human hands. Let us pray that we all will find a home, which Christ prepared for us in the house of the Father.

* Our Way of Life *

"Our diverse talents and abilities, our differences in culture, nationality and age are assets for the richness of the community. Although we may be engaged in a variety of ministries, we all share the common call to apostolic discipleship in a community of the Catholic Apostolate of St. Vincent Pallotti."(OWL, 91)

"Christ, the Apostle of the Eternal Father, and his mission are central to our personal and community life, giving meaning and direction to our thinking, our spirituality, our prayer, action and suffering." (OWL, 19)

"As a community of disciples we are gathered around Jesus, the Apostle of the Eternal Father. Like the first disciples, we want to be with Jesus, be sent out by him and return to him to evaluate our service in the light of his presence." (OWL, 88)

"As Pallottines, it is our special charism to foster growth in faith and love among the laity, to awaken them to awareness of their apostolic call, and to cooperate with them in furthering the apostolic mission." (OWL, 21)

"Our relationships with one another should be marked by a love that bears all, believes all and hopes for all, a love that is neither conceited nor jealous, which hurts no one, nor is embittered or resentful. It is never discouraged but remains patient and kind. It rejoices with others and shares their suffering. It is with this kind of love that we should help and support one another." (OWL, 90)
