Enjoy beauty of Switzerland:

▪ On September 25, the Swizz National Feast of Brother Klaus of Flüe, Regional Superior Sr. Raphaela Fuchs celebrated her 50 years of consecrated life with the Pallottines and parish community. The solemnity started on Saturday with a thoughtfully prepared Evening Prayer in the community in Niederuzwil and continued on Sunday with the Holy Eucharist in Gossau, presided by Provincial Superior Fr. Adrian Willi. Having in mind the youth present, he said what counts in our lives is not the empty promises made to us, but what we can promise to God from the depth of our heart. Like Br. Klaus, who gave an example of taking seriously the challenges at each age and striving to fulfil God’s will, Sr. Raphaela “gilded” her Yes 50 years ago through her daily dedication, her endured worries and joys, thus being a guiding sign for many. Sr. Daniela Schumacher was among the group of pan flute players, who embellished the celebration. The festive community was invited to an aperitif followed by a banquet in the hall.

▪ In Bernhardzell, together with Sr. Bernhilde Roos, the community thanked God for her 98 years of life. The day was a gathering for the whole village, where memories were exchanged about the beginnings of the Pallottine Sisters in Bernhardzell. A 95 year old friend and benefactor of the Sisters was also honored. With the song: You, Oh God, How Great You Are, this beautiful day ended.

▪ The Swiss Sisters were very happy that the summer of 2011 brought many visitors to their community – some of whom were fellow sisters from South Africa and Germany.

▪ At the beginning of March the Sisters were happy to welcome Srs. Maria Landsberger and Stella Holisz from the General Administration for some days.  They visited the Sisters in both communities, having time for prayer and sharing together and for discussing some changes in their Directives.

▪ From March 20–24 the Sisters participated in a UAC retreat with the theme: “Living with faith means: to stretch out one’s hand that God can take it”, directed by Fr. Erich Schädler from Gossau.
